Finn Carter is an American actress best known for her breakout role as Rhonda LeBeck in the cult-classic monster film Tremors (1990), where she starred alongside Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward. With a dynamic background in both stage and screen, Finn has built a diverse and respected acting career across film, television, and theater.

She began her career in theater as a member of the esteemed Circle Repertory Company in New York and originated the role of Effie Herrington in Up In Saratoga at San Diego’s Old Globe Theatre, directed by Jack O’Brien. She later appeared in a revival of Biloxi Blues at the Pasadena Playhouse before transitioning into television.

Finn rose to prominence as Sierra Estaban Reyes Montgomery on the long-running CBS daytime soap As the World Turns, a role she played from 1985 to 1988 with a reprise in 1994. Her television credits span an array of popular shows including China Beach (as Nurse Linda Matlock Lanier), Law & Order, ER, The Outer Limits, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Murder, She Wrote, Chicago Hope, and NYPD Blue. She was also a series regular on the Fox sitcom Secret Service Guy.

Her film career includes starring roles in How I Got into College (1989), Sweet Justice (1992), and a notable supporting performance in Rob Reiner’s Ghosts of Mississippi (1996). In addition to her film and TV work, Finn has led several made-for-TV movies and wrapped her screen acting career with the 2005 independent film Halfway Decent.
