Dave Lombardo is a Cuban-American drummer whose explosive style and groundbreaking technique have made him one of the most influential drummers in modern music. Best known as a founding member of the thrash metal titan Slayer, Lombardo is celebrated by fans and critics alike as “The Godfather of Double Bass” and a defining force in the evolution of heavy metal drumming.

Throughout his 40+ year career, Lombardo has recorded on over 35 commercial albums, including nine with Slayer, such as the landmark Reign in Blood and Christ Illusion. His intense, high-precision playing helped shape the sound of thrash metal and laid the foundation for generations of drummers in metal, punk, and hardcore scenes.
