Megan Hollingshead – Voice Actress | Nurse Joy, Mai Valentine, Re-l Mayer

Megan Hollingshead is a celebrated American voice actress best known for her standout performances in anime and video game English dubs. With a career spanning decades, she has voiced some of the most beloved characters in anime history—including Nurse Joy and Cassidy in the original Pokémon series (Seasons 1–6), Mai Valentine in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters (Seasons 1–3), Shizune in Naruto and Naruto Shippuden, and Rangiku Matsumoto and Nemu Kurotsuchi in Bleach.

Megan’s vocal range and emotional depth also shine in more mature roles like Re-l Mayer in Ergo Proxy, Caster in Fate/stay night, Hilda in Eureka Seven, and Villetta Nu in Code Geass. In the world of video games, she voiced Lenneth in the cult-classic RPG Valkyrie Profile.

Originally based in New York, Megan relocated to Los Angeles during the seventh season of Pokémon to expand her voice acting opportunities in the anime and gaming industries. Beyond the booth, she is a classically trained theater actress with stage credits including The Duchess of Malfi, Vinegar Tom, Spacegrrrls, and Baptizing Adam. She studied at the prestigious William Esper Studio and is a founding member of the Adirondack Theatre Festival.

In addition to her acting career, Megan is a certified yoga instructor and currently lives with her family in Nashville, Tennessee.
